Contract Renewals

Probably the largest part of our work relates to dealing with contract negotiation and implementation. We collate and clean up consumption data to create a tender, which forms the basis or our negotiations. This is used to target the price we are seeking, based on our knowledge of where the market is and the best tariff structure.

From the start, our analysts liaise closely with clients to find out how contract renewals have been handled in the past and how we can tailor our service to fit in with your requirements. At one end of the spectrum, there are clients who are prepared to delegate the entire negotiation process to CEC from beginning to end. Other clients may have experience in negotiation and wish to carry out their own investigations with a number of suppliers to establish a benchmark for CEC to work against. We can accommodate virtually any system of purchasing and still show tangible financial benefits, thereby delivering added value.

Given that we place millions of pounds in contracts annually, CEC carries a lot of weight in the energy markets and is able to command the best prices. All of our work is based on the principle that we share in the additional savings that we can make for our clients. We agree a benchmark to work against, make sure everyone understands how we are going to proceed and then deliver the results.
