Control Energy Costs History
Control Energy Costs was founded in 1980 by Chris Cleanthi, an analyst involved in Tariff Analysis virtually since inception of the industry in the UK during the late 60's. At that time, there were only a handful of utility consultancies, and these focused mainly on tariff changes and invoice auditing.
Following privatisation of the Gas and Electricity markets, the number of consultants - particularly energy brokers - has mushroomed, whose main activity now is contract negotiation. Because all of these companies claim to do the same thing, the choice can be confusing.
What differentiates Control Energy Costs is the attention we are able to give our clients. For many of our competitors, an Analyst will manage the relationship with 300+ clients. This sharply limits the service that can be offered. Our Analysts will look after around 100 each, giving them time to understand individual client's specific requirements. Whilst this is a labour intensive policy, we recognise that more will be achieved by giving experienced Analysts the time to investigate fully.
This strategy has paid dividends. CEC is a highly successful consultancy, able to offer an in-depth personal service, which is precisely what is needed in today's very complex and fast moving energy markets. Our service goes way beyond the norm and our clients see the benefits.
